Sports, Random and the Weather

Mon Oct 19, 2009, 5:46 AM
  • Mood: Speechless
  • Listening to: The typing and chatter in the bureau.
  • Watching: Wish I could close my eyes. My head hurts.
  • Playing: I shouldn't even be writing this. I'm at work.
  • Eating: Chocolate cake...
Weeeeell.... I've been sick from last week of September to October 10th. Wasn't funny. Just an ordinary infect, but they seem to get to me. Always.

Now, I wasn't completely useless in those two weeks, editing and posting the IAA photos, if nothing else.

I really don't have much to tell, went to the football game last saturday (we won 2:1) and saturday night I fell asleep over a book and missed the fight of Arthur Abraham and some other guy, who must've lost miserably. Jensen Button is 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, Congrats at this point.

Oh! Saturday I made the deal of the year! =D I went to buy myself a jeans and somehow, miraculously, I found one that looks good, fits and it cost the whole of 20 euros. For a jeans, that's virtually nothing around here. =D

One sad thing though: my MP3-Player is falling to bits. Not literally, but the "volume-quiet" button doesn't work anymore. That's a bit annoying. So I'm currently thinking about getting an iPod nano, since everyone I talked to about this says "My iPod is just fantastic". No, actually they said "Mein iPod ist toll, funktioniert super", but most of you wouldn't understand that, aye?

Anyway, I don't really fancy spending so much money on stuff...

Aaaaaand I made a Doctor Who Meme. Soon to come. I'm still debating whether or not to post it before I had the chance to do it myself. But since I don't have any idea when I'll have the time/be in the mood to do it, you should hope I'll post it undone... =D

Weather! It's gotten cold here. Last week we had cold and rain. I thought I was in England... No offense!

Ah. I'll stop rambling now. Dunno what's gotten into me...

:salute:

Funny Weekend

Mon Sep 14, 2009, 12:30 AM
  • Mood: Thrilled
  • Listening to: The typing and chatter in the bureau.
  • Watching: Wish I could close my eyes. My head hurts.
  • Playing: I shouldn't even be writing this. I'm at work.
  • Eating: There's a Snickers lying around here, somewhere.
  • Drinking: Nothing yet.
Wotcher everyone!

The weekend's been too short again, and I don't really have much important to say, except THIS:

I was watching Formula 1 on Sunday with my family. It was Monza GP and in the last lap they showed Lewis Hamilton, who was driving on place three.

My comment in this moment was "Why can't his engine just blow up?"
And then THIS happened: [link]

My family and I just stared for a second before cheering and giving each other high-fives =D

Well, it wasn't a blown engine, but even better; he screwed up himself! =D =D =D

(The fact that this got Ferrari a third place and Kimi six points in the driver's championship was an added bonus!)

Oh! And Eintracht Frankfurt won away in Freiburg with 2:0! So, viewing it from the sporty side, the weekend was a full success! =D

Well, firstly; my dad is alright again. He's taking a cure (but home on weekends) and he's stopped smoking. My mother has reduced smoking, which is a start.

And I've been out with my ex-boyfriend again. It was rather nice, I have to say.

Thirdly: WE WON THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP! Whohoo! German soccer women beat England with 6:2!
I think it's fantastic!

So Worried

  • Mood: Miserable
Ok, forget about stupid ex-boyfriends and stupid I-thought-we-were-friends-friends.

My dad's in hospital since last sunday. He's had a heart attack whilst playing boule with some other people. Luckily they called the doctors and they say he'll be fine. He has to stay in hospital for 10 days and then he's got to do rehabilitation.

I'm so worried about him. (Only positive thing: The doctors say he HAS to stop smoking.)
And I miss him so much already. Though I only see him in the mornings and evenings, I miss him a lot. Hopefully I can manage to visit him sometime this week...
